Luciana is a Chancellor's Fellow in Data Driven Innovation at the University of Edinburgh. Originally trained in Innovation Studies, she has 20 years of academic experience in emerging digital innovations and enterprises.
Richard Harrison
Richard is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Edinburgh Business School. He was the first to identify the critical role of the 'business angel', i.e. those individuals who invest in new ventures. He has since helped entrepreneurs understand what such investors are looking for in a business plan, and influenced policy measures to increase the supply of angel finance (a body of work which led to him winning the ESRC’s ‘Impact in Business’ award in 2015).
Duncan Chapple
Duncan is the preeminent researcher worldwide studying the value of industry analysts and analyst relations. He directs research projects and development workshops that increase the value generated by relationships with industry analysts and sourcing advisors. He is also completing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, looking into industry analysts.
Suwen Chen
Suwen is a UK-based consultant, researcher and PhD student holding a Principal's Career Development Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh. Her research interest lies in how digital start-ups must navigate the endorsement economy to scale (e.g Gartner's Cool Vendor designation), and has co-founded the Analyst Observatory to facilitate national and international networking through webinars, meetups and forums.
Grant Murray
Grant Murray is studying for a PhD, researching the effect of space and policy within a startup incubator. Career history as a Sales Director in an SME and as an Infantry Officer in the British Army.
Fabio Neves da Rocha
Fabio is a doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh Business School in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group. As a practitioner, Fabio developed an international career in companies like SAP, Saba, Hewlett-Packard, and IBM, among others, in field leadership roles involving enterprise sales, marketing and business development in the Information Technology (software and services) sector. He is currently Partner and Senior Consultant at TMS Consultoria, helping companies to improve their sales though strategic alliances and channels.
Marcia Geiger
Marcia is studying for an MSc by Research at the University of Edinburgh Business School and is a member of the Analyst Observatory.
Milan Frederik Klus
Milan is a research associate and PhD student at the University of Münster, Germany, and became a member of the Analyst Observatory during a research stay at the University of Edinburgh Business School in February 2019. His research focuses on digital change in the context of organisation and leadership, with an emphasis on Fintech startups. In a current research project, he is investigating analyst relations of Fintechs designated as Cool Vendors by Gartner. Furthermore, Milan has practical experience in management consulting, especially supporting small and medium-sized companies in the area of strategy development and change management.
